He began his career in 1972 as he managed the opening of two Ameco Gas Stations.  This mixed both his managerial and automotive repair skill as he successfully ran two
stations from 1972 to 1980.

In 1980, after moving to San Jose, Elie merged with a partner to purchase his first shop.  After three years, Eli’e decided a partnership was not for him.  That same year he
opened a shop on his own and in 1990 moved to Sacramento where Elie’s Foreign and Domestic Auto is located today.
